Swim Safe Heroes™
About Swim Safe Heroes™
Swim Safe Heroes™ is a provider-facing prevention workflow and communication framework designed to support early, readiness-based water safety conversations—especially for families of autistic and neurodivergent children.
Phase I equips pediatric providers, therapists, and care teams with practical tools that fit into existing workflows and support layered safety planning over time.
Swim Safe Heroes™ is not a clinical protocol or swim instruction program. It supports provider-led family education through calm, inclusive, evidence-informed guidance.

Why This Started
Water safety is often addressed after a close call—not as part of early developmental support. Many families supporting autistic and neurodivergent children face complex safety contexts around water, yet providers don’t always have a ready, non-alarmist way to introduce the topic. This pilot was built to make that conversation easier to start earlier—and easier to sustain across care settings.
